For many years humanity had considered themselves to be the undisputed masters of Space Colonisation. As the sphere of Human influence began to spread ever further into the void, a billion to one chance brought them into contact with another intelligent species which shared mankind's 'Imperialist' ambitions. Early misunderstandings rapidly escalated into outright conflict, and the Corporations were forced into a situation where increasing resources had to be directed towards containing new enemies and rivals - The Ventaurans.

This volume covers the weapons and tactics employed by the alien species during the initial aggressive contacts. The text is presented using the established Dropwing format so that the new information integrates easily with its 'parent system'. All of the rules unique to Ventauran warriors are also presented in a single Rapid Reference Sheet, which speeds up play by removing the need to constantly refer back to the main text.

First Contact includes an introductory scenario based around a 'typical' encounter during the early stages of the Human/Ventauran conflict which enables new players to field their alien forces as soon as they have been assembled.
